Ian Griffiths + Carole Webster, 23 November

Ian’s work is largely lyrical and intended for performance. He has just returned from a poetry tour in New York and New Jersey. He is a former chairman of Suffolk Poetry Society and a founder member of the Poetry In Aldeburgh festival. Always interested in treading new ground in poetry he will read from his recent collection “Conversations with Birds”.

Carole is experimenting with writing which explores reality in terms of ‘outside in’ representing the ‘humdrum conundrum’, those small critical events which are positioned on the borderline of magical or other-worldly experiences.

At: the Royal British Legion, Wivenhoe Quay
On: Thursday 23 November 2017, 7.30 for 8.00pm
Entry: pay at the door £5.00 (students £3.00)

Congratulations to our Poetrywivenhoe colleagues who have each had a Poem for Europe published in The New European: Peter Kennedy in the January 20-26 number, Alex Toms in June 23-29, and Tim Cunningham in August 10-16. What a splendid trio!
