Day 479 – spring flowerings

What are those blue remembered hills?  We ask because on 26 March, in 1859, A E Housman was born.  But rather than channel Housman, our poet gordon hoyles welcomes spring in e e cummings mode, today this day 479 of the daily new poems.

spring flowerings

blasé,
the bud will unpeel
and reveal
like a beautiful sinner
ineluctable

naturally
seductable
the bees visit
all welcomed
with reward
only stinging
those who interfere
