Day 643 – Janet the Organist (WKennedy)

To live without his music would be impossible to do, says our poet Walter Paul Kennedy today, Day 643 of the daily poems.  But see – Janet the Organist is coming to his rescue!

Janet the Organist

Janet the Organist
Came to town
Looking for some fun
On the Underground
She had her mini keyboard
She had her leather clip
The people of Hornsey
Had never heard
Anything like it

She fingered the keys
Up and down
Driving people mad
In Camden Town
She had her mini organ
With its leather clip
And the people of the Lock
Had never heard
Anything like it

Janet the Organist
Entertains
Giving a sly wink
As she belts out tunes
The people in the carriage
Are slapping their knees
In perfect time
And singing harmonies
It’s amazing
