On Day 685 of the daily poems our poet Mary L Walsh has derived, from the poems of DH Lawrence, a found poem using two lines from each of the first three poems and one from the last.
As I went through
compiled from some poems of DH Lawrence
As I went through the marshes,
The little river twittering in twilight,
The trees rose taller and taller, lifted.
Again, I saw a brown bird hover.
The quick sparks on the gorse bush were leaping.
There the lazy streamlet pushed
Into the evening’s empty hall.
