Today is Day 756 of the Daily Poems. An enigmatic door with no handle is today’s portal, by our poet Jane Monach
Door
I see a door
yellow, orange, blue
brushed in wood
thick Moroccan colours
squares and triangles
intertwined
No handle.
My hands trace around
geometrics
find a central slit
that fits my fingers,
I bend my knuckles.
prize open its heaviness
feel blood on my palms.
